Deal Alert :: BaziFIT
Tallis Salamatian, the BaziFIT CEO, is a startup veteran who founded his first company as a sophomore at UC Santa Cruz. BaziFIT emerged from his frustration recovering from multiple knee injuries. Joining Salamatian on the BaziFIT team are: Doug Ross (Chief Technology Officer), who has developed data systems and custom software solutions for Fortune 500 companies; Dr. Chris Lehman (Chief Medical Officer), an orthopedic surgeon who performed 3 of Salamatian's 4 knee surgeries; and Greg Bland (Chief Administrative Officer), an engineer and algorithmic expert.
While activities such as running, cycling, and elliptical-riding are easily quantified and tracked, strength workouts using equipment such as TRX cables, balance boards, and barbells are not.
BaziFIT is a simple and intuitive device that, when attached to exercise equipment, offers instant feedback on neuromuscular efficiency, strength, stability, and calories burned. It allows you to analyze your entire workout (not just cardio), receive customized workouts, and share your data with others.
- Features include: accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, Bluetooth 4.0, LED visual feedback indicator, and rechargeable battery
- App encompasses: workouts, assessments, and BaziFIT Score
- Compatible with: balance boards, Bosu Ball, barbells, dumbbells, TRX, cable machines, and more
- Receivers are attached to gym equipment; you clip your sensor into receiver
BaziFIT's target market includes 47 million potential U.S. users: 7 million personal training clients, 15 million subscribers to the top 5 YouTube Trainers, and 25 million people who work out in home gyms (International Data Corporation; International Health, Racquet, & Sportsclub Association; Statista). BaziFIT also has an initial target of 2.5 million wearable device users (2% of the projected 126 million wearable devices sold in 2019) (IDC, IHRSA).
